Introduction

I used to hate business types. Bosses, Suites, Yuppies, Desk Jockeys, Stiff - Boring - Bastards and the like. You see, I was an artist. A free spirit, a wanderer, a seeker, a performer.

Looking back on things, I wonder if I'm here now because of something that happened when I was 8.

I think this one moment in time was a tiny seed for my future. One epiphany when I was 8 years old is what ultimately caused me to take up my mission 25 years later.

I was just a kid before that moment and still just a kid after. I never thought of it again until just recently. Now, holding it in my mind and reflecting on the past, I see a handful of other crystal clear moments that have to be connected to that seed.

This series is about those moments and the long, winding path I took to now. It ends with a vision of the future. Perhaps, by the time I'm finished telling Part 1 of this story some of the vision will become reality.

My purpose for writing this series is to focus myself. To prepare for the things I'm going to have to do to continue my growth.
